_______ TOOL. PUSH OR PULL THE TOOL AND TURN THE MECHANICAL INPUT SHAFT AT THE SAME TIME. DO THIS UNTIL YOU FIND THE POSITION WHERE YOU CAN INSTALL OR REMOVE THE TOOL EASILY. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE VALVE CONTROL SHAFT AND THE TOOL.

1.
Pressurize the Green and the Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
2.
Do the operational test of the jamming protection device again, in the configuration as follows:
On the center pedestal: R - turn the pitch trim-control R wheel to the zero position.
3. Depressurize the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems. (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
R 4. On the LH control-valve block (2) R of the THS actuator (4):
R - install the TOOL - JAMMING R SIMULATION LH A/C N.UP R (OU190857) on the shaft (7) of R the LH control- valve block. R (Ref. Fig. 502/TASK 27-44-00-
991-003)The THS surface moves to the zero position.
On the THS actuator (4):
-the control-valve chain is in the jamming simulation configuration.

R - push the TOOL - JAMMING

R of the shaft (7) of the LH

R - turn the mechanical input shaft
R (1) to turn the master spline,

R - fully push the tool to insert
R the spigots in the slots.

R - move the mechanical input shaft

R (CCW) direction.

THS-ACTUATOR DOES NOT
STOP APPROXIMATELY 5
SECONDS AFTER YOU HAVE
PUSHED THE FLT CLT /
ELAC 2 PUSH BUTTON
SWITCH.
THIS OPERATES THE
JAMMING PROTECTION
DEVICE WHICH PREVENTS
DAMAGE TO THE STOP OF
THE MECHANICAL INPUT
SHAFT.
7. On the center pedestal and on the
panel 24VU:
On the control-valves of the THS actuator:
-
the control-valves are in the open position.
On the center pedestal:
-
the pitch trim-control wheel moves to the aircraft nose UP direction (the THS leading edge moves down).
On the THS actuator (4) and on thepanel 24VU:

R - look at the pointer of the
R pitch trim-control wheel. In
R the 5 degree nose UP position
push the FLT CTL/ELAC 2
pushbutton switch.

8. On the panel 24VU:
- release the FLT CTL/ELAC 2
switch.
9. Depressurize the Green and Yellow
hydraulic systems.

10. On the rudder pedals:
R - operate the rudder pedals in
R the left and right directions
R and wait 1 minute.
R 11. On the THS actuator (4):
