(3) Power Lines
The power line symbols are as follows:
+5V +5VB
D. Equipment Designators
The electronic and electrical parts on the printed circuit card
assemblies have a card designator as a prefix to their equipment
designator, but such is not shown on the schematic diagrams.
E. Symbol for Safety-requested Parts
The safety-requested parts are major parts in high voltage circuits or
power lines, and are identified by mark “ “ near part symbols.
F. Values
(1) All resistance values shown on the schematic diagrams are in ohms,
with K for kilo-ohms and M for meg-ohms.
(2) All capacitance values shown on the schematic diagrams are in
microfarads, with P for picofarads and F for farads.
(3) All inductance values shown on the schematic diagrams are in
microhenries (uH) or turns (T).
G. Electrostatic Sensitive Devices
Electrostatic discharges from your hands or tools can cause permanent
damage to most of the semiconductor devices on the printed circuit card
assemblies. Obey the general precautions given below to prevent such
damages:
· Do the disassembly and assembly work on a grounded conductive surface.
· Put on a conductive wrist-strap that is grounded.
· Touch your tool to the ground (grounded metal structure, etc.) before
you use it.
· Use a tip-grounded soldering iron.
· Put the removed printed circuit card assembly on a grounded conductive
surface.
