(5) VMU Tuner Setting
(a) Make sure that the VMU tuner shows as follows:

FREQ 151.25 or different frequency value
NOTE: If the VMU tuner shows "E0" or "E2" on the CH display, the
VMU tuner must be repaired before you can use it.
(b) Do a scan of channels 1 thru 12 with the UP or DOWN switch
pushed and make sure that the default receiving frequencies are
set on these channels (refer to Figure 102). If not, set the
default receiving frequencies as follows:
1 Set the ADJUST-NORMAL switch to ADJUST.
2 Push the RESET switch for three seconds.
3 Set the ADJUST-NORMAL switch to NORMAL.
4 Do a scan of channels 1 thru 12 again to make sure that the
default receiving frequencies are set.
(6) Go to Functional Testing (5.).

5. Functional Testing
Do the tests in the sequence given. You can do all tests other than the RF
level tests during the two-hour warm-up time.
A. Start of Program
(1) Make sure that the PC's COM1 connector is connected to the tester's
RS232C I/F connector.
(2) Put the VMU test disk into the PC's floppy disk drive.
(3) Set the PC's power switch to ON. In less than two minutes, you will
see the screen as shown in Figure 103B.

(4) Type the part number of the VMU (use only capital letters, dash "-"
and numbers), then push the Enter key. The basic part number must
be "RD-AA5002". The program does not make a check of the dash
number, but accepts all dash numbers. You will see the screen as
shown in Figure 103C.
