INTRODUCTION
1. Manual Introduction
A. General
(1) This CMM contains the description/operation, shop maintenance
procedures provided by Panasonic Avionics Corporation.
(2) The Matsushita Avionics Systems Corporation (MASC), known in the
industry as MAS, changed the company name into Panasonic Avionics
Corporation from April 1, 2005.
B. Scope of Manual
(1) Air Transport Association (ATA) Specifications were used to prepare
this CMM. The page blocks in this CMM discuss these topics:
(a) DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION (Page block 1) describes the purpose,
primary sub-assemblies, and technical properties of the
component.
(b) TESTING AND FAULT ISOLATION (Page block 100) gives bench test
procedures, fault isolation procedures, and component schematics
and wiring diagrams.
(c) AUTOMATIC TEST REQUIREMENTS (Page block 200) gives automatic
test requirements, as required.
(d) DISASSEMBLY (Page block 300) gives procedures to disassemble the
component for repair or part replacement.
(e) CLEANING (Page block 400) gives procedures to clean and handle
the component.
(f) CHECK (Page block 500) gives procedures to check the component
for damage.
(g) REPAIR (Page block 600) gives repair procedures and instructions
to handle ESDS electronic components.
(h) ASSEMBLY (Page block 700) gives procedures to reassemble the
