(3) Report analysis
(a) Relation between the Pitch Angle, the FPA (Flight Path Angle) and the AOAref (Reference Angle of Attack). (Ref. Fig. 201/TASK 34-11-00-991-001) The following page depicts an instance of AIDS report, and provides instructions on how to analyse the recorded parameters. (Ref. Fig. 202/TASK 34-11-00-991-002)
(b) Conclusion Remove the Angle of Attack sensor that exceeds these tolerances (Ref. AMM TASK 34-11-19-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-11-19-400-001).
1_ On the printout of report No16, select an area of 24 lines in
row (12 snapshots) where the following conditions are met:
. Total Altitude variation not exceeding 20 feet versus
initial value
. Total Roll Angle variation not exceeding 1 deg. versus
initial value
. No abrupt AOA change between 2 snapshots (0.2 deg. max.)
2_ In stabilized flight conditions the relation is:
AOA ref = PITCH - FPA
For the 12 selected snapshots in the report, calculate AOAref.
3_ For each snapshot compare the AOAref with the 3 AOA values
(AOA1, AOA2, AOA3) and make sure that the difference does not
exceed the following tolerances:
. (AOA1 - AOAref) is less than or equal plus or minus 0.5 deg.
. (AOA2 - AOAref) is less than or equal plus or minus 0.5 deg.
. (AOA3 - AOAref) is less than or equal plus or minus 0.5 deg.
