 3. Fault Confirmation

 A. Do the Operational Test of the Intercell Transfer Valves (Ref. AMM TASK 28-15-00-710-002).
 NOTE : The intercell transfer valves (ICTVs) are motor driven and the
____ power for these circuits is derived from the main power. The ICTVs are immobilized on battery power.

 4. Fault Isolation
_______________
 A. If the Left Intercell Transfer Valve continues to be shown in transit on the FUEL System Display, and the CFDS(FUEL) reports the Left Rear Valve, disconnect the electrical connector from the ACTUATOR-TRANSFER VALVE, L REAR SPAR (11QP).
 NOTE : During normal Actuator-Transfer Valve, Left Rear Spar (11QP)
____ operation, 28VDC is supplied to electrical connector: - on the pin A for OPEN - on the pin B for SHUT.
 (1) Check with a multimeter, at the electrical supply cable connector (Ref. ASM 28-15/01) to see if:

 - 28VDC is at pin B

 - 0VDC is at pin A.

 

 (2) Open the C/B-FUEL/XFR VALVE 1/WING/R (2QP), A11 at 49VU.

 (3) Check with a multimeter, at the electrical supply cable connector (Ref. ASM 28-15/01) to see if:

 - 28VDC is at pin A

 - 0VDC is at pin B.

 

 (4) Close the C/B-FUEL/XFR VALVE 1/WING/R (2QP), A11 at 49VU.

 (5) If the voltages at pins A and B of the connector are correct, (as in

 (1) and (3) above), check/replace the ACTUATOR-TRANSFER VALVE, L REAR SPAR (11QP), (Ref. AMM TASK 28-15-51-000-002), and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-15-51-400-002).

 (a) While the actuator is removed from the aircraft confirm that the transfer valve drive shaft and valve are free to rotate.

 (b) Repair/replace any unserviceable items found in (a).

 

 (6) If no 28VDC is measured at either pins A and B of the electrical supply cable connector, (as in (1) and (3) above).

 (a) Check with a multimeter to see if 28VDC is available at:

 - terminal A2, RELAY-L WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL A (5QP)

 - terminal X1, RELAY-L WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL A (5QP).

 

 (b) If the 28VDC is not available do a wiring check (Ref. ASM 28-15/01) of the aircraft wiring between the RELAY-L WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL A (5QP) and the C/B-FUEL/XFR VALVE 1/WING/L (1QP).

 (c) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors.

 (d) Check with a multimeter to see if 28VDC is available at:

 - terminal A2, RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (6QP)

 - terminal X1, RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (6QP).

 (e) If the 28VDC is not available do a wiring check (Ref. ASM 28-15/01) of the aircraft wiring between the RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (6QP) and the C/B-FUEL/XFR VALVE 1/WING/R (2QP).

 (f) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors.


 (7) Do the test given in Para 3.A.

 (8) If the fault continues, check/replace the RELAY-L WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL A (5QP) 103VU.

 (9) Do the test given in Para 3.A.


 (10) If the fault continues check/replace the RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (6QP) 103VU.

 (11) Do the test given in Para 3.A.

 (12) If the fault continues do a wiring check (Ref. ASM 28-15/01) of the aircraft wiring:

 - between the pin A, ACTUATOR-TRANSFER VALVE, L REAR SPAR (11QP) and the terminal A3, RELAY-L WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL A (5QP)

 - between the pin A, ACTUATOR-TRANSFER VALVE, L REAR SPAR (11QP) and the terminal B3, RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (6QP)

 - between the terminal A1, RELAY-L WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL A (5QP) and the terminal B2, RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (6QP)

 - between the pin B, ACTUATOR-TRANSFER VALVE, L REAR SPAR (11QP) and the terminal B1, RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (6QP)
