NOTE : The cause of fuel leaks are:
____
- damage to the structure
- damaged or loose fasteners
- incorrect installion of components
- damaged seals, o-rings or sealant.
(3) If a fuel leak is found obey the instructions (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-00-280-002) and go to Para. 4.A. if/when applicable.

_______________
A. Procedure
(1) Repair all the leaks:
(a) In the tanks (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-00-280-002):
- Local Repair of Fuel Tank Sealant (Ref. AMM TASK 51-76-12-300-001)
- Repair of Fuel Tank Fillet (Ref. AMM TASK 51-76-12-300-002)
- Temporary External Repair of the Fuel Tank (Ref. AMM TASK 51-76-12-300-003)
- Detailed Fuel Tank Repair Data (Ref. SIL 57-86).
(b) In the fuel pipes:
- Replace or repair (Ref. Fuel Pipe Repair Manual - FPRM).
(c) In the fuel related LRU(s):
- Replace (Ref. Removal and Installation (R & I) Procedures).
(2) When the fuel leak repair is complete, do the procedures that follow:
(a) Do a Visual Inspection of the Vapour Seal (Ref. AMM TASK 28-13-42-200-001).
(b) Check the Drain Mast Outlet for Obstruction (Ref. AMM TASK 28-13-00-200-001).
1_ If necessary, repair (Ref. AMM TASK 28-13-42-300-001) or
replace the vapour seal (Ref. AMM TASK 28-13-42-000-001) and
(Ref. AMM TASK 28-13-42-400-001).
1 If necessary, remove the blockage or replace the drain mast
_ (Ref. AMM TASK 28-13-43-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-13-43-400-001).
(c) Do the Functional Test of the Center Box/Tank Vapour Seal and Vent/Drain System (Ref. AMM TASK 28-13-00-700-001).
(d) Refuel, to full (high level cut off) the applicable/repaired tank(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003).
(e) Do a check of the Fuel Leak Monitor 500QM for evidence of fuel leakage (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-00-200-002).

R 3. Fault Confirmation
__________________
R A. General R R At the first engine start, the FQIC will record (log) the initial total R fuel quantity onboard. R R During flight, or until the second engine shutdown, the FWC monitors the R signals that follow: R - initial FOB (from the FQIC) R - actual (current) FOB (from the FQIC) R - engine 1 fuel used - from the fuel flow transmitter on ENG 1 R - engine 2 fuel used - from the fuel flow transmitter on ENG 2 R - fuel leak threshold - from FQIC. R R At the FWC, the actual FOB, the engine 1 fuel used, and the engine 2 fuel R used are added together. R R The result of the addition is subtracted from initial FOB. R R If there is a difference between these two values, more than the R threshold value, and the appropriate conditions exist, the FWC gives an R indication of a possible fuel leak. R This is a single chime warning with the ECAM alert: R FUEL - F.USED/FOB DISAGREE. R
