4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. Procedure
(1) Make sure that the C/B 3QP is closed.
(2) Open the C/B 4QP.
(3) Get access to the ACTUATOR-TRANSFER VALVE, L FWD SPAR (9QP) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-15-51-000-001).
(4) Disconnect the electrical connector 9QP-A from the ACTUATOR-TRANSFER VALVE, L FWD SPAR (9QP).
(5) Do a test, with a multimeter, to see if 28VDC is available at pin A of the connector 9QP-A (Ref. ASM 28-15/02).
(a) If the 28VDC:
- is available, do step (6)
- is not available, continue at step (7).
(6) Do a check of and replace, if necessary, the ACTUATOR-TRANSFER VALVE, L FWD SPAR (9QP) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-15-51-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-15-51-400-001).
(a) When the actuator is removed from the aircraft make sure that the transfer valve drive shaft and valve are free to rotate.
(b) Repair/replace all the unserviceable items found in (a).
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.B.(2).
(7) Close the C/B 4QP.
(8) Do a test, with a multimeter, to make sure that 28VDC is available at the RELAY-L WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (7QP) terminals A2 and X1 (Ref. ASM 28-15/02).
(a) If the 28VDC:
- is not available, do step (9)
- is available, continue at step (10).
(9) Do a wiring check of the aircraft wiring (Ref. ASM 28-15/02) between the RELAY-L WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (7QP) and the C/B-FUEL/XFR VALVE 2/WING/L (3QP).
(a) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors (Ref. ESPM 20-00-00).

(b) Do the test given in Para. 3.B.(2).
(10) Do a test, with a multimeter, to make sure that 28VDC is available at the RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL A (8QP) terminals A2 and X1 (Ref. ASM 28-15/02).
(a) If the 28VDC:
- is not available, do step (11)
- is available, continue at step (12).
(11) Do a wiring check of the aircraft wiring (Ref. ASM 28-15/02) between the RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL A (8QP) and the C/B-FUEL/XFR VALVE 2/WING/R (4QP).
(a) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors (Ref. ESPM 20-00-00).
(b) Do the test given in Para. 3.B.(2).
(12) If the fault continues:
(a) Do a check of and replace, if necessary, the relays that follow:
- RELAY-L WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (7QP)
- RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL A (8QP)
- RELAY-L OR R FWD XFR VALVE OPEN LATCH (14QP).
(b) Do the test given in Para. 3.B.(2).
(13) If the fault continues:
(a) Do a wiring check of the aircraft wiring (Ref. ASM 28-15/02) between:
- the ACTUATOR connector 9QP-A, pin A and the RELAY 7QP, terminal A3
- the ACTUATOR connector 9QP-A, pin A and the RELAY 9QP, terminal B3
- the RELAY 7QP, terminal A1 and the RELAY 8QP, terminal B2
- the RELAY 7QP, terminal X2 and the RELAY 14QP, terminal A
- the RELAY 8QP, terminal X2 and the RELAY 14QP, terminal B
- the RELAY 14QP, terminal 1 and the FLSCU-2 rack connector 9QJ-AA, pin 11B
- the RELAY 14QP, terminal 3 and the FLSCU-1 rack connector 7QJ-AA, pin 11B.
(b) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors (Ref. ESPM 20-00-00).
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.B.(2).
