4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. Procedure
(1) Make sure that the C/B 2QP is closed.
(2) Open the C/B 1QP.
(3) Get access to the ACTUATOR-TRANSFER VALVE, R REAR SPAR (12QP) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-15-51-000-002).
(4) Disconnect the electrical connector 12QP-A from the ACTUATOR-TRANSFER VALVE, R REAR SPAR (12QP).
(5) Do a test, with a multimeter, to see if 28VDC is available at pin A of the connector 12QP-A (Ref. ASM 28-15/01).
(a) If the 28VDC:
- is available, do step (6)
- is not available, continue at step (7).
(6) Do a check of and replace, if necessary, the ACTUATOR-TRANSFER VALVE, R REAR SPAR (12QP) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-15-51-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-15-51-400-002).
(a) When the actuator is removed from the aircraft make sure that the transfer valve drive shaft and valve are free to rotate.
(b) Repair/replace all the unserviceable items found in (a).
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.(2).
(7) Close the C/B 1QP.
(8) Do a test, with a multimeter, to make sure that 28VDC is available at the RELAY-L WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL A (5QP) terminals A2 and X1 (Ref. ASM 28-15/01).
(a) If the 28VDC:
- is not available, do step (9)
- is available, continue at step (10).
(9) Do a wiring check of the aircraft wiring (Ref. ASM 28-15/01) between the RELAY-L WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL A (5QP) and the C/B-FUEL/XFR VALVE 1/WING/L (1QP).
(a) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors (Ref. ESPM 20-00-00).

(b) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.(2).
(10) Do a test, with a multimeter, to make sure that 28VDC is available at the RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (6QP) terminals A2 and X1 (Ref. ASM 28-15/01).
(a) If the 28VDC:
- is not available, do step (11)
- is available, continue at step (12).
(11) Do a wiring check of the aircraft wiring (Ref. ASM 28-15/01) between the RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (6QP) and the C/B-FUEL/XFR VALVE 1/WING/R (2QP).
(a) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors (Ref. ESPM 20-00-00).
(b) Do the test given in Para. 3.B.(2).
(12) If the fault continues:
(a) Do a check of and replace, if necessary, the relays that follow:
- RELAY-R WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL B (6QP)
- RELAY-L WING TK LOW LEVEL CHANNEL A (5QP)
- RELAY-L OR R REAR XFR VALVE OPEN LATCH (13QP).
(b) Do the test given in Para. 3.B.(2).
(13) If the fault continues:
(a) Do a wiring check of the aircraft wiring (Ref. ASM 28-15/01) between:
- the ACTUATOR connector 12QP-A, pin A and the RELAY 6QP, terminal A3
- the ACTUATOR connector 12QP-A, pin A and the RELAY 5QP, terminal B3
- the RELAY 6QP, terminal A1 and the RELAY 5QP, terminal B2
- the RELAY 5QP, terminal X2 and the RELAY 13QP, terminal A
- the RELAY 6QP, terminal X2 and the RELAY 13QP, terminal B
- the RELAY 13QP, terminal 1, and the FLSCU-1 rack connector 7QJ-AA, pin 5A
- the RELAY 13QP, terminal 3, and the FLSCU-2 rack connector 9QJ-AA, pin 5A.
(b) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors (Ref. ESPM 20-00-00).
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.B.(2).
