- the center tank pump 1 low fuel pressure.
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. Procedure
(1) Do the initial checks as given in:
- step (a), with a multimeter
and/or
- step (b), by substitution and replacement.
(a) Do a check of the electrical circuits (Ref. ASM 28-21/03) as follows:
1 At the panel (contactor box) 107VU, remove the contactor-35QA.

2 At the contactor (relay) base 35QA-A, make sure that:
_ - a ground is available at terminal Z

- 28VDC is available at terminal X, when the P/BSW-33QA is set to on (through the closed contacts B3 to B1).
3 Replace all the unserviceable items.

4 Make sure that the contactor-35QA removed in step 1_ is
_
installed.
5 Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
_
(b) Swap (interchange) the items listed that follow, one at a time, with those from the center-tank fuel-pump 2 system:
- the CNTOR-CTR TK PUMP 1 SPLY (35QA)
- the RELAY-CTR TK AUTO CONTROL, PUMP 1 (41QA)
- the P/BSW-FUEL/CTR TK/PUMP 1 (33QA).
1 Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
_
2 If the fault is removed/cleared:
_ a Replace all the unserviceable items.
_
b Do the test given in Para. 3.A. for the left (1) and right
_ (2) center-tank fuel-pumps.
(2) If the fault continues:
(a) Do a check (Ref. ASM 28-21/03) of the aircraft wiring between:
- the C/B-FUEL/CTR TK/PUMPS 1 & 2/CTL & IND (31QA), terminal 2 and the P/BSW-FUEL/CTR TK/PUMP 1 (33QA), terminal B3
- the P/BSW-FUEL/CTR TK/PUMP 1 (33QA), terminal B1 and the RELAY-CTR TK AUTO CONTROL, PUMP 1 (41QA), terminal B
- the RELAY-CTR TK AUTO CONTROL, PUMP 1 (41QA), terminal 3 and the CNTOR-CTR TK PUMP 1 SPLY (35QA), terminal X
- the CNTOR-CTR TK PUMP 1 SPLY (35QA), terminal Z and the aircraft ground DC2 at 1176VT.
(b) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors (Ref. ESPM 20-00-00).
(c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
