 (a) Do a check of the electrical circuits (Ref. ASM 28-21/02) as follows:
 1 At the panel (contactor box) 107VU, remove the contactor-20QA.

 2 At the contactor (relay) base 20QA-A, make sure that:

_


 - a ground is available at terminal Z

 - 28VDC is available at terminal X, when the P/BSW-16QA is set to on (through the closed contacts B3 to B1).


 3 Replace all the unserviceable items.
_ 4 Make sure that the contactor-20QA removed in step 1_ is
_
 installed.

 5 Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
_

 (b) Swap (interchange) the items listed that follow, one at a time, with those from the left wing-tank fuel-pump 2 system:
 - the CNTOR-R WING TK PUMP 2 SPLY (20QA)

 - the P/BSW-FUEL/R TK PUMPS/2 (16QA).

 1 Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
_

 2 If the fault is removed/cleared:
_ a Replace all the unserviceable items.

_

 b Do the test given in Para. 3.A. for the left and right
_
 wing-tank fuel-pumps 2.

 (2) If the fault continues:
 (a) Do a check (Ref. ASM 28-21/02) of the aircraft wiring between:

 - the C/B-FUEL/PUMPS/2/R CTL AND L IND (10QA), terminal 2 and the P/BSW-FUEL/R TK PUMP/2 (16QA), terminal B3

 - the P/BSW-FUEL/R TK PUMP/2 (16QA), terminal B1 and the CNTOR-R WING TANK PUMP 2 SPLY (20QA), terminal X

 - the CNTOR-R WING TK PUMP 2 SPLY (20QA), terminal Z and the aircraft ground DC2 at 1175VT.

 

 (b) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors (Ref. ESPM 20-00-00).

 (c) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.

 - OF DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WIRING AND STRUCTURE.


 WARNING : WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE FUEL SYSTEM WIRING, YOU MUST USE TEST
_______ EQUIPMENT THAT IS APPROVED (REFER TO INTERNATIONAL OR NATIONAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR INTRINSICALLY SAFE TEST EQUIPMENT, E.G. EN50-020, UL913 OR EQUIVALENT). TEST EQUIPMENT THAT IS NOT APPROVED CAN CAUSE FIRE OR AN EXPLOSION.

 - PUMP-FUEL NO 1, CTR TK (37QA)

 - CNTOR-CTR TK PUMP 1 SPLY (35QA)

 - PRESS SW-FUEL PUMP NO 1, CTR TK (39QA)

 - C/B-FUEL/CTR TK/PUMP1 SPLY (29QA)

 - aircraft wiring

 - pressure switch safety valve

 - pressure switch plug (banjo adaptor attachment bolt)

 - pressure switch fuel supply pipe-line between the fuel pump canister 84QM and the pressure switch 39QA
