(2) If the EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator light (8XG) stays off:
- replace the lamp of the EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator light (8XG).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check of the wiring (Ref. ASM 24-41/01) between: . pins 4 and 1 of the EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator light (8XG) . pin 5 of the EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator light (8XG) and the first terminal.
1 If there is no continuity:
_ - repair the wiring.
2 If there is continuity:
_ - replace the IND LT-EXT PWR/NOT IN USE (8XG).
R **ON A/C 401-499,
R A. If the test confirms the fault:
R - on the external power panel 108VU, push the LIGHT TEST pushbutton
R switch (34LP) to do a test of the lights of the external power panel
R 108VU.
R (1) If the EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator light comes on:
R - do a check of the wiring between the pin 2 of the circuit breaker
R (6XG) and the pin 2 of the EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator light (8XG)
R (Ref. ASM 24-41/01).
R (a) If there is no continuity:
R - repair the wiring.
R (b) If there is continuity:
R - replace the IND LT-EXT PWR/NOT IN USE (8XG).
R 1_ If the fault continues:
R - replace the CNTOR-AC GND SVCE SPLY (12XX) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-
R 42-55-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-55-400-001).
R 2_ If the fault continues:
R - replace the EPC (3XG) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-55-000-001) and
R (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-55-400-001).
R 3_ If the fault continues:
R - replace the GAPCU (24XG) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-34-000-001)
R and (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-34-400-001).
R 4_ If the fault continues:
R - replace the P/BSW-ELEC/EXT PWR (10XG).

R a If the fault continues:_
R - do a check and repair the wiring (Ref. ASM 24-41/01)
R between:
R . pin A/X2 of the EPC auxiliary control relay (5XG) and
R pin AB/10A of the GAPCU (24XG)
R . pin AA/4A of the GAPCU (24XG) and pin A/B1 of the
R ELEC/EXT PWR pushbutton switch (10XG)
R . pin A/B3 of the ELEC/EXT PWR pushbutton switch (10XG)
R and the ground.
R (2) If the EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator light (8XG) stays off:
R - replace the lamp of the EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator light (8XG).
R (a) If the fault continues:
R - do a check of the wiring (Ref. ASM 24-41/01) between:
R . pins 4 and 1 of the EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator light (8XG)
R . pin 5 of the EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator light (8XG) and the
R first terminal.
R 1 If there is no continuity:_
R - repair the wiring.
R 2 If there is continuity:_
R - replace the IND LT-EXT PWR/NOT IN USE (8XG).
R **ON A/C ALL
B. Do this test to make sure that the system operates correctly.
(1) Do the test given in Para. 3. and make sure that:
- on the external power panel 108VU the EXT PWR/NOT IN USE indicator
light and EXT PWR/AVAIL caution light come on.
- on the ELEC panel 35VU, the AVAIL legend of the EXT PWR pushbutton
switch comes on.
(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits from the external power
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
