4. Fault Isolation

A. If the test gives the maintenance messages:
AFS: CHK DMC 1 - FMGC 1 CKT (ISSUED BY: FG1) and
AFS: CHK DMC 1 - FMGC 2 CKT (ISSUED BY: FG2)
(1) Do the test given in Para. 3 with the EIS DMC selector switch (18WT) on the SWITCHING panel (8VU) at CAPT/3.
(a) If the fault continues:
- replace the PFD-CAPT (2WT1) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-22-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-22-400-001).

(2) If the fault continues:
- replace the DMC-1 (1WT1) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-400-001).
(3) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the PFD OWN VALID discrete from the DMC 1 (1WT1) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 22-85/04).
B. If the test gives the maintenance messages:
AFS: CHK DMC 2 - FMGC 2 CKT (ISSUED BY: FG2) and
AFS: CHK DMC 2 - FMGC 1 CKT (ISSUED BY: FG1)
(1) Do the test given in Para. 3 with the EIS DMC selector switch (18WT) on the SWITCHING panel (8VU) at F/O/3.
(a) If the fault continues:
- replace the PFD-F/O (2WT2) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-22-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-22-400-001).
(2) If the fault continues:
- replace the DMC-2 (1WT2) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-400-001).
(3) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the PFD OPP VALID discrete from the DMC 2 (1WT2) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 22-85/04).
C. Do the test given in Para. 3.
