A. Job Set-Up
(1) Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(a) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:

NOTE : During the test ignore the aural warning.

1. On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
- push the FAC 2 pushbutton - On this pushbutton switch, the OFF
switch. legend goes off and the FAULT legend stays off.
2. Open the circuit breaker 5CC2. On the upper ECAM DU:
- the AUTO FLT FAC 2 FAULT message comes into view.
On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
- on the FAC 2 pushbutton switch, the FAULT legend comes on.
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the FAULT legend does not come on:
- push the FLT CTL/FAC 2 pushbutton switch.
(1) If the OFF legend of this pushbutton switch does not come on:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the 5VAC signal at FLT CTL/FAC2 pushbutton switch (12CC2) (from pin A/8 to the first terminal block) (Ref. ASM 22-65/01).
(2) If the OFF legend of this pushbutton switch comes on:
- on the panel 25VU, set the ANN LT switch to TEST.
(a) If the FAULT legend of the FLT CTL/FAC 2 pushbutton switch does not come on:
- replace the P/BSW-FLT CTL/FAC2 (12CC2), (Ref. AMM TASK 33-10-00-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 33-10-00-400-002).
1 If the fault continues:
_
- do a check and repair the wiring of FLT CTL/FAC 2 pushbutton switch (12CC2) (from pin A/7 to pin A/B3) (Ref. ASM 22-65/01).
(b) If the FAULT legend of the FLT CTL/FAC 2 pushbutton switch comes on:
- replace the RELAY-FAC2 ENGAGED (11CC2).
1 If the fault continues:

- do a check and repair the wiring of the FAC 2 ENGAGED relay (11CC2) (from relay 11CC2 pin A/A3 to the ground point and

B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
5. Close-up________
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) On the panels 301VU and 500VU, set the PFD and ND potentiometers to OFF.
(2) On the panel 25VU, set the ANN LT switch to BRT.
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
FAC 1 OFF Legend does not Come on when the FAC 1 Function Disengages
1. Possible Causes

- wiring of the 5VAC signal at the FLT CTL/FAC 1 pushbutton switch (12CC1)
- P/BSW-FLT CTL/FAC1 (12CC1)
- wiring of the FLT CTL/FAC 1 pushbutton switch (12CC1)
- wiring of the ground signal at the FLT CTL/FAC 1 pushbutton switch (12CC1)
