B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Align the ADIRS (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-004).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (PFD and ND only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
C. Test

1. Make sure that the two FDs are On the upper part of the CAPT PFD: engaged. - the white FD 1 indication is in view.
On the upper part of the F/O PFD: NOTE : If they are not engaged, - the white FD 2 indication is in view.

switches on the FCU.
On the FCU:
- the two FD pushbutton switches come on.
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the FD 2 indication comes into view on the F/O PFD and if the FD 2 pushbutton switch does not come on:
- replace the FCU (2CA) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-81-12-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 22-81-12-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the: . wiring of the FD 2 ENGD MON OWN discrete from the FCU (2CA) to the first terminal block . wiring of the FD 2 ENGD COM OWN discrete from the FCU (2CA) to the FMGC 2 (1CA2) (Ref. ASM 22-85/02).
B. If the FD 2 pushbutton switch comes on and if the FD 2 indication does not come into view on the F/O PFD:
- replace the DMC-2 (1WT2) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the FD 2 ENGD discrete from the DMC 2 (1WT2) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 22-85/02).

C. If the FD 2 indication does not come into view on the F/O PFD and if the FD 2 pushbutton switch does not come on: - open the circuit breaker (9CA2)
- close this circuit breaker and after 2 minutes make sure that the FD 2 is engaged.
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the FMGC-2 (1CA2) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-83-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 22-83-34-400-001).
(2) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the FD OWN ENGD MON OWN discrete from the FMGC 2 (1CA2) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 22-85/02).
D. Do the test given in Para. 3.
5. Close-up
________
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) On the overhead panel, on the ADIRS CDU, set the OFF/NAV/ATT selector switches to OFF.
(2) On the panels 301VU and 500VU, set the PFD and ND potentiometers to OFF.
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
