CAUTION : USE 2 WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS.

ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION AND ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE
COUPLING NUT. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE HARDWARE.

3. Job Set-up

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Return Pipe of the Right Latch
(1) Put a container 1 USgal (4 L) under the upper latch of the blocker door.
(2) Disconnect the return pipe from the upper latch and let the hydraulic fluid drain into the container.
(3) Remove the nuts and the bolts that attach the flange and the upper half clamp to the upper hydraulic line bracket.
(4) Disconnect the interface hydraulic hose from the return pipe.
(5) Remove the nut that attach the return pipe to the interface bracket.
(6) Remove the return pipe from the forward frame.
(7) Put protective covers on the pipe ends.
