A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

(2) Put the access platform in position in the right side of the engine.

A. Do a Visual Inspection of the Blocker Door Latch and the Related Hardware

A. Damage No damage permitted If you find some damage, replace blocker door latch (Ref. TASK 78-31-19-000-001) and (Ref. TASK 78-31-19-400-001)

B. Crack No crack permitted If there is crack, replace the blocker door latch (Ref. TASK 78-31-19-000-001) and (Ref. TASK 78-31-19-400-001)
C. Missing of surface No missing permitted If there is any missing of
treatment surface treatment, replace the blocker door latch (Ref. TASK 78-31-19-000-001) and (Ref. TASK 78-31-19-400-001)
D. Hydraulic leakage No hydraulic leakage If there is leakage, check
permitted nipples for correct torque (Ref. TASK 78-31-19-400-001)
If the leakage continues, replace the preformed packing (Ref. TASK 78-31-19-000-001) and (Ref. TASK 78-31-19-400-001)
If the leakage continues, replace the blocker door latch (Ref. TASK 78-31-19-000-001) and (Ref. TASK 78-31-19-400-001)
2. Examine the related hardware for:
A. Damage No damage permitted If you find some damage, replace the defective part (Ref. TASK 78-31-19-000-001) and (Ref. TASK 78-31-19-400-001)
3. Examine the latch fitting (hinge) and the roller for:
