THRUST REVERSER CONTROL AND INDICATING - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
__________________________________________________________________
R 1. General
_______ R (Ref. Fig. 001, 002, 003, 004) R The thrust reverser is controlled from the cockpit by means of the throttle R control lever and is only operative on ground. R A thrust reverser control lever, when actuated, allows the throttle control R lever to be moved rearward in the reverse thrust selection area and the R thrust reverser to be controlled by the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The R throttle control lever, when actuated in the reverse thrust selection area, R allows the SOV to be opened through the SEC and a static relay. R The ECU incorporates a thrust reverser command logic based on throttle R control lever selection, thrust reverser feedback position and ground/flight R configuration, the calculated Mach number, which generates a command signal R to the pressurizing valve and the directional valve. R The signal from the ECU to the directional valve is fed to an inhibition R relay controlled by the Engine Interface Unit (EIU) according to throttle R control lever position. R Each channel of the ECU can control and monitor the thrust reverser. R The hydraulic power required for the actuator is supplied from the normal R hydraulic system. R During blocker doors transient, the ECU commands the engine to idle.
