A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the core nozzle is removed (Ref. TASK 78-11-11-000-041).

A. Installation of the Centerbody: NOTE : If you install a centerbody on an engine which has a Turbine Rear
____ Frame (TRF) with tangential struts, make sure that there are two rows of drain holes on the centerbody (SB RA32178-4 incorporated, addition of drain holes).

R (1) Put the centerbody (5) on the studs in the engine flange.
R (2) Attach centerbody to the engine studs with new nuts (10) and washers (15).
NOTE : Make sure that you attach the centerbody to the engine with
____ new nuts. Do not use nuts that were used before.
R (3) Adjust the centerbody (5) position to minimize flowpath mismatch.

R (4) TORQUE nuts (10) to between 220 and 240 lbf.in (2.48 and 2.71 m.daN). NOTE : If any anomaly occurs when removing nuts (loosing or broken
____ stud), (Ref. TASK 72-56-00-210-002) for serviceability or repair.

CENTERBODY - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. Reason for the Job

This inspection criteria is only for those portions of the centerbody that can be observed on-wing. Therefore, the limits and remarks do not apply to the engine attach ring and forward non-accessible areas of the centerbody. Inspection of these areas should be done at the next component removal from the engine.

A. Safety Precautions

(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
