R (1) Do this test:

R - turn the locking handle down to R the UNLOCKED position. R R
R 2. On the control panel:
R - move the selector to the OPEN R position and hold it. R
R - release the selector. R On the AFT cargo door:
-
the vent door opens inboards,
-
the drift pins retract from the pockets of the fuselage.
-you can see the red mark on each safety cam through the indication window.
On the lower ECAM DU :
-
the symbol of the AFT cargo door is shown in amber and the message CARGO comes on.
On the AFT cargo door:
-
the locking hooks disengage from the lock fittings,
-
the cargo door moves partly from the closed position.
On the AFT cargo door:
-
the door actuators extend and the cargo door moves in the open direction.
-
the cargo door stops and stays in this position.

R R - set the selector in the OPEN position again and hold.

R 3. On the AFT cargo door:
R R - examine the cargo door during the movement.
R 4. On the control panel:
R R - release the selector when the green indicator light is on.

R R R R R - move the selector in the CLOSE direction and hold it.
R
R R R - set the selector to the fully CLOSE position and hold it.
R R R R - release the selector when the cargo door is in a position in which you can do an interlock mechanism check.
R 5. On the AFT cargo door:
R R R - start to turn the locking handle from the UNLOCKED to the LOCKED position.
-
the cargo door moves in the open direction.
On the control panel:
-
the green indicator light comes on when the door actuators are extended and locked.
On the AFT cargo door:
-
the cargo door must open smoothly and easily.
-
the cargo door stays in the fully open position.
On the control panel:
-
the selector is not in the CLOSE position.
-
the green indicator light goes off as soon as the door actuators are not in their locked position.
On the AFT cargo door:
-
the door actuators retract and the cargo door moves in the close direction.
-
the cargo door stops and remains in this position.
-you can not move the locking handle because the interlock mechanism blocks the cam of the locking shaft.

R R - press the roller lever of the interlock mechanism outboards.
R R R R R R R - turn the locking handle up to the LOCKED position.
R 6. On the control panel:
R R - set the selector in the OPEN or CLOSE position.

R R R R R R - turn the locking handle down to the UNLOCKED position.
R 8. On the control panel:
R R R R R - set the selector in the CLOSE position.
R 9. On the AFT cargo door:
