(2)
Put the warning notices in position to tell persons not to operate the nose wheel steering system: - on the brake pedals - on the nose wheel steering handwheel (18VU, 19VU).

A. Removal of the NLG Towing Attachment
(1)
Remove the rubber sealant with a spatula to prevent damage to the surface protection.
(2)
Remove and discard the cotter pins (6).

Remove the nuts (5), the washers (3) and (4).
(4)
Remove the bolts (1) and the washers (2).
(5)
Remove the NLG towing attachment (7). NOTE : After towing attachement removal, do not reassemble the bolts,

A. Safety Precaution
(1)
In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, make sure that the warning notice is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(2)
Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to operate the nose wheel steering system: - on the brake pedals - on the nose wheel steering handwheel (18VU, 19VU).
4. Procedure

A. Installation of the NLG Towing Attachment
(1)
Clean the removed parts with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-001) and dry them with compressed air.
(2)
Apply a light coat of SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-047) to the threads of the bolts (1).
(3)
Install the NLG towing attachment (7) on the leg.
(4)
Install the washers (2), the bolts (1), the washers (3) and (4) and the nuts (5).
(5)
TORQUE the nuts (5) to between 4.4 and 5.2 m.daN (32.44 and 38.34 lbf.ft).
(6)
Safety the nuts with new cotter pins (6).
(7)
Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) in the areas E.
(8)
Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-002) in the areas F.
