(1) Close the MLG doors to the fully closed position with the Uplock locked.(Ref. TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
NOTE : Make sure that green hydraulic system is depressurized

(2) Measure the gap between the door and the airframes. (Ref. Fig. 403/TASK 32-12-11-991-002) The correct gap is from A to B 4.5 +3.5 -2.5 mm (0.1771 +0.1377 -0.0984 in.) and at C 8.5 +2.25 -2.25 mm (0.3346 +0.0885 -0.0885 in.). If the gap is not correct, adjust on the hinge attachment point.
(a)
Open the MLG door (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(b)
Remove and discard the cotter pin (1).
(c)
Remove the nut (2), the washer (3) and the hinge bolt (6).
(d)
Adjust the position of the washer (5) between the spherical bearing (4) and the fitting (7).
(e)
Install the washer (5) so as to move the door forwards or rearwards.

Position AA will move the door forwards.
-
Position BB will move the door rearwards.
(f)
Install the hinge bolt (6), the washer (3) and the nut (2).
(g)
TORQUE the nut (2) to between 2.8 and 5.6 m.daN (20.64 and 41.29 lbf.ft).
R (h) Safety the nut (2) with a new cotter pin (1).

F. Adjustment of the Door Stopper
(Ref. Fig. 404/TASK 32-12-11-991-008)
(1) Close the MLG doors to the fully closed position with the Uplock locked.(Ref. TASK 32-12-00-410-001).

Measure the step between the MLG door rear edge and the airframe structure .The door should make a continuous surface with the adjacent fairing structure.
(3)
A maximum step of 1.5 mm (0.0590 in.) inside of the adjacent fairing structure is permited.
(4)
It is also permitted a maximum step of 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.) inside of the adjacent structure on 305 mm (12.0078 in.) (10%) of the gap lenght (MLG door rear edge).

R R R (6) It is also permitted a maximum step of 5.0 mm (0.1968 in.) out of the adjacent structure on the last 80 mm (3.1496 in.) of the upper part (MLG door rear edge).
R R (7) Adjust the door stoppers assemblies if the step is greater than the maximum
R (a) Open the MLG door (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
R (b) Remove the nuts (1), the washers (2) and the screws (6)
R (c) Remove the stop (5) and the plate (3).
R (d) Add or remove the plate set-packing as necessary.
R R (e) Install the stop (5) with the plate set-packing (4) and the plate (3) with the screws (6) the washers (2) and the nuts (1).

(1) Close the MLG doors to the fully closed position with the Uplock locked.(Ref. TASK 32-12-00-410-001).

(3) Measure the step between the MLG door forward edge and the airframe structure. The door should make a continuous surface with the adjacent fairing structure.
