 (2) Remove the nuts (7) and (10).
 (3) Remove the washers (6) and (11).
 (4) Remove the WASHER SPACER (M46789).
 (5) Remove the washers (3) and (4).

 C. Installation of one NLG Lock Spring
 (1) Install the TENSIONING FIXTURE (M21929) on the spring (5).
 (2) Put the spring (5) and the washer (4) on the pin (2).
 (3) Use the applicable adjustment washers (3) to get the clearance : J1 = between 0.05 mm (0.0019 in.) and 0.5 mm (0.0196 in.).
 (4) Install the adjustment washers (3), the washer (4), the spring (5), the washer (6) and the nut (7).
 (5) TORQUE the nut (7) to between 0.8 and 0.95 m.daN (70.79 and 84.07 lbf.in).
 NOTE : Put a wrench on the flats of the shoulder of the pin (2) to____ prevent movement.
 (6) Install a new cotter pin (8).
 (7) Make sure that the bushing (12) is in the correct position on the pin (13).
 (8) Install the spring (5).
 (9) Install the washer (11).

 

 (10)
 Install the nut (10). TORQUE the nut (10) to between 0.8 and 0.95 m.daN (70.79 and 84.07 lbf.in).

 (11)
 Install a new cotter pin (9).

 (12)
 Remove the TENSIONING FIXTURE (M21929) from the spring (5).

 (13)
 Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) at the zones E.

 Remove the warning notice(s).

 Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

 Close the doors of the nose landing gear (Ref. TASK 32-22-00-410-001).

 Remove the nose landing gear (Ref. TASK 32-21-11-000-002).

 Open the access door 824 to get access to the hinge points of the nose gear.

 Put the access platform in position in zone 123.

 (4)
 Remove the avionics equipment ventilation duct (Ref. TASK 21-26-42-000-001).
