On the steering handwheels (CAPT and F/O) and on the brake pedals put warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to operate them.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
On the panel 110VU, make sure that the PARK BRK control switch is in the OFF position.
(2)
Make sure that the wheel chocks are in position.
(3)
Lift the aircraft at the forward jacking point (Ref. TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
(4)
Remove the nose wheel which prevents the removal of the pin of the lower arm (Ref. TASK 32-41-12-000-001).
(5)
Remove the protective sealants with a spatula to prevent damage to the surfaces of the components.

A. Removal of the Torque Link Assy
(1) Disconnect the upper electrical harness from the torque link assembly **ON A/C 001-004, 052-054,
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 32-21-27-991-004) R **ON A/C 001-004, 052-054, 106-149, 229-299, 303-399, 401-499,
(a)
Remove the nut (103). NOTE : Use a flat spanner to make sure that the screw (100) does

not turn.
(b)
Remove the clamp (101) and the washer (102).
(c)
Disconnect the connector (90) and install the blanking caps.
(d)
Remove the nut (98), the washer (97), the bolt (94), the support
(96) and the clamp (95).
(e)
Disengage the upper electrical harness of the torque link assembly through the hole of the protector (91).
(2) Disconnect the lower electrical harness from the torque link assembly **ON A/C 001-004, 052-054,

(a) Remove the nuts (111), the washers (110), the screw (100) and the bolt (104).

(b) Disengage the lower electrical harness and its support (99) from the torque link assembly.

Remove the related fittings from the torque link assembly

Remove the nut (112), the bolt (93), the washers (92) and (113) and the protector (91).
(b)
Remove the nuts (105), the washers (106), the bolts (109) and the washers (108). Remove the stop (107).
(4)
Disconnect the center hinge
(Ref. Fig. 402/TASK 32-21-27-991-001)
(a)
Remove the cotter pin (9) from the nut (8).
(b)
Remove the nut (8), the washer (7) and the screw (10).
(c)
Hold the shaft (1) and remove the nut (6) and the washer (5).
(d)
Remove the shaft (1) with a plastic drift.
(e)
Remove the washers (4), (3) and (2).
(5) Remove the lower arm

Remove the screw (22) with a soft drift.
