R WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE FUEL SUPPLY HOSE IS CORRECTLY CONNECTED TO_______
R THE COUPLING BEFORE YOU REFUEL/DEFUEL THE AIRCRAFT. DO NOT
R CONNECT THE FUEL SUPPLY HOSE IF THERE ARE SIGNS OF DAMAGE TO
R THE AIRCRAFT COUPLING LUGS OR SLOTS.
R (1) Remove the applicable refuel coupling cap 101QM(41QM).
R (2) Make sure that the aircraft and the fuel tanker/pump unit are
R grounded correctly (Ref. TASK 12-34-24-869-001) and electrically
R bonded together correctly.
R NOTE : Bonding is essential, grounding is recommended.____
R (3) Make sure that the coupling of the fuel supply-hose is clean, then
R connect it to the aircraft refuel coupling.
R (4) If you have external power available, energize the aircraft
R electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
R (5) If you have external power available:
R - do the EIS (ECAM only) start procedure (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001)
R - on the panel 11VU, push (in) the FUEL pushbutton switch.

D. Get Access
(1) Open the access door 192MB.
NOTE : Make sure that the door is closed when the refuel operation is____
completed. If not, the battery can discharge.

(1) If you do not have ground power available: WARNING : WHEN YOU REFUEL THE AIRCRAFT WITH BATTERY POWER, IT IS NOT
_______ ALWAYS POSSIBLE TO REFUEL TO FULL CAPACITY. THIS IS BECAUSE THE INTERCELL TRANSFER VALVES ARE NOT ALWAYS IN THE CORRECT POSITION.
(a) On the refuel/defuel control panel (800VU), put the BATT POWER switch to the ON position.
NOTE : The HOT BUSS 701PP is energized for ten minutes only (this
____ is to prevent discharge of the aircraft batteries), unless you put the MODE SELECT switch (on the refuel/defuel panel) to REFUEL.

(a) On the refuel/defuel control panel (800VU), put the BATT POWER switch to the ON position.

F. Test of the Refuel Panel 800VU
(1) Do this test:

1. On the panel 800VU: On the panel 800VU:
- put the TEST switch to the LTS position and hold it there - the HI LVL lights and the DEFUEL/XFROPEN lights are on and the CKPT and END lights come on - the FUEL QTY, PRESELECTED and ACTUAL displays show all 8's.
- release the TEST switch - the lights go back to their initial condition
- the FUEL QTY, PRESELECTED and ACTUAL displays go back to their initial condition
- put the TEST switch to the HIGH position and hold it there - the HI LVL lights change theircondition. If they were on, they will go off. If they were off, they will come on
- release the TEST switch. - the HI LVL lights go back to their initial condition.

A. Pressure Refuel with Manual Control NOTE : If it becomes necessary, defuel (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or

transfer fuel (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-869-001).
(1)
On the refuel/defuel control panel 800VU:
(a)
Put the MODE SELECT switch to the REFUEL position.
(b)
Put the REFUEL VALVES switch(es) for the applicable fuel tank(s) to the OPEN position.
(c)
Put the REFUEL VALVES switch(es) for the tank(s) which will not be refuelled to the SHUT position.
(2)
Start the pump on the fuel tanker/pump unit. CAUTION : DO NOT LET THE REFUEL PRESSURE BE MORE THAN THE MAXIMUM
