Objectives: Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to:
• Describe aircraft systems and their handling, using proper terminology and nomenclature
• Identify the location of system main components
• Describe the relevant safety precautions
General: Closed book examinations will be conducted throughout the course. The minimum
passing mark for the exam paper is 75 %.
Participants will receive a Part-147 certificate upon successful completion of the
course.

A330 (RR RB211Trent) vs. A340 (CFM56), T1/T2: Part-66 Cat. B1/B2, Line & Base Maintenance
A330; Electrical Systems, Airframe & Powerplant – ATA Spec 104 Level 3
Duration: 5 days / 35 lessons theoretical training
2 days / 14 hours practical training
Target Group: Part-66 Category B1 / B2; A340 qualified
Content: This course covers the differences between the Airbus A330 versus A340 on Airframe,
Engine and Electrical elements in detail to ATA Spec 104 Level 3.
Training includes:
• Description and operation of the airframe, engine and electrical systems
• Identification and location of the main components
• Servicing of the airframe, engine and electrical systems in accordance with aircraft
maintenance manuals
• Troubleshooting of the airframe, engine and electrical systems with the use of
built-in devices
• Operational testing of the airframe, engine and electrical systems
Number of Theoretical Minimum: 8 Practical Minimum: 4
Participants: Maximum: 15 Maximum: 6
Recommended: 10 Recommended: 5
Prerequisites: A340 type rating Cat. B1 or B2.
Objectives: Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to do the following tasks:
• Describe aircraft systems and their handling, using proper terminology and nomenclature
• Identify the location of system components
• Describe the relevant safety precautions
• Explain the normal function of the aircraft systems
• Identify and use appropriate aircraft documentation
• Describe routine ramp and transit activities
• Describe procedure for removal / installation unique to the aircraft type
• Describe system, engine and component functional checks as specified in the
maintenance manual
• Use and interpret on-board diagnostics to a Line Replaceable Unit (LRU)
• Correlate information for the purpose of making decisions in respect to fault diagnosis
and rectification
• Determine aircraft airworthiness in accordance with MEL/CDL, by using crew report
and/or on-board reporting systems
General: Closed book examinations will be conducted throughout the course.

Participants will receive a Part-147 certificate upon successful completion of the
course.
