All aircraft are exempted fiom the installation of the ELT remote control until 1 January 2005.

6.9.1 As of 1 January 2001, all turbine-engined aeroplanes of a maximum certificated take-off mass in
excess of 5 700 kg or authorized to carry more than nine passengers shall be equipped with a
ground proximity warning system if conducting international flights.
6.9.6 The ground proximity warning system shall provide, as a minimum, warnings of the following
circumstances:
a) excessive terrain closure rake;
b) excessive altitude loss after take-off or go-around; and
c) unsafe terrain clearance while gear not locked down.
General Belgium has not promulgated regulations for international general aviation corresponding to the
requirements of Annex 6, Part II - International General Aviation - Aeroplanes, except f a
rules of the air and maintenance requirements for these types of aircraft.
