Lubricate the plug threads with silver goop.
(b)
Install the plugs with new AP-8 Gaskets.
NOTE: You can use the old gaskets if they are not damaged.

Tighten the AP-8 plugs to 40-50 pound-inches (4.519-5.649 newton-meters).
(d)
Install lockwire on the AP-8 plugs.

A. General
(1) This inspection is the visual check of the HPT 1st- and 2nd-stage blades, duct segments and the 1st-stage vanes.
CAUTION: USE CAUTION WHEN YOU USE THIS PROCEDURE TO MAKE A DECISION
_______ ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE ENGINE. THE BORESCOPE INSPECTION LIMITS ARE A RESULT OF TESTS AND STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS. THE PART LIFE AND THE PERFORMANCE OF THE ENGINE CAN DECREASE QUICKLY WHILE THE DAMAGE OF THE PARTS BECOMES NEAR TO THE MAXIMUM CONTINUE-IN-SERVICE LIMITS.
