If the delamination is less than those limits, examine the delamination after each 50 hours for increased dimensions.

 (f)  
If the delamination is worse than those limits, replace the fan exit fairing before the 26th hour (AMM 72-31-03/401).

 (g)  
If the delamination is more than 2.50 inches (63.50 mm) by 2.00 inches (50.80 mm), replace the fan exit fairing (AMM 72-31-03/401).

Examine Area B, the surface of the fan exit fairing, for damage.

 (a)  
Nicks, and gouges that are in the limits that follow are permitted: 1) No more than 1.00 inch (25.40 mm) diameter, 2) No more than 0.05 inch (1.27 mm) in depth, 3) A minimum of 2.00 inches (50.80 mm) away from other nicks,


 or gouges,

 NOTE: Fan exit fairings that have a steel cap on the leading edge

 (a)  
Delamination, erosion, or loose areas of the black polyurethane surface layer is permitted on 100 percent of the surfaces.

 (b)  
On engines with a steel cap on the leading edge, visually examine the steel cap to make sure it is correctly attached.

 (7)  
Remove the protective mats from the inlet cowl.

 (8)  
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tags from the fuel control switches.

1ST-STAGE STATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  The procedure that follows gives the tasks for the removal and the
 installation of the 1st-stage stator.

 B.  The 1st-stage stator is the first stage of the low pressure compressor
 (LPC) and is an annular flange which holds the stator vanes.

 C.  The 1st-stage stator is immediately aft of the 1st-stage fan blades . It is the start of the LPC.
 D.  To get access to the 1st-stage stator, you must go into the inlet cowl,
