 B.  The power to drive the accessories is obtained from the high pressure compressor (HPC). A towershaft (radial driveshaft) in the intermediate case is geared to the front of the rotor.
 C.  The radial driveshaft drives the angle gearbox bevel gear set which transmits power to the main gearbox through the gearbox layshaft (horizontal driveshaft). The angle gearbox is located between the intermediate case inner and outer diameter wall at the 6 o'clock position.

D.  The main gearbox incorporates drive pads for the engine fuel pump and fuel metering unit (tandem mounted), hydraulic pump, starter, and the integrated drive generator. Provisions are also incorporated to permit hand cranking of the HPC rotor to allow more complete inspection through the borescope ports.
