For overtemperatures that occurred during ground, and in-flight starts (while the engine operated at less than minimum power), refer to Figure 602 for the applicable inspections.
(a)
If the overtemperature occurred in area A, do the inspections that follow: 1) Do the Visual Inspection (found in the steps below in this
task). 2) Correct the cause of the overtemperature (Exceeded EGT Limits) (FIM 71-00-00/101).
(b)
If the overtemperature occurred in area B, do the inspections that follow: 1) Do the Visual Inspection (found in the steps below in this
task). 2) Do the Hot Section Inspection before the engine operates its 61st hour (found in the steps below in this task). 3) Correct the cause of the overtemperature (Exceeded EGT Limits) (FIM 71-00-00/101).
(c)
If the overtemperature occurred in area C, do the steps that follow: 1) Remove the engine (AMM 71-00-02/401).
NOTE: You can ferry an overtemperatured engine to a
____ maintenance base, if the Visual Inspection and the Hot Section Inspection show no visual damage.
2) Do the Steps that are Necessary after the Removal of the Engine (found at the end of this task).
(d) If the overtemperature occurred in area D, no inspections are necessary.

(3)
For engine overtemperatures that occurred while the engine operated at minimum power or higher, refer to Figure 603 for the applicable inspections.
(a)
If the overtemperature occurred in area A, do the inspections that follow: 1) If the overtemperature occurred from one thru fifteen
times, do the Visual Inspection (found in the steps below in this task). a) Correct the cause of the overtemperature (Exceeded EGT
