 b)  Do the Test No. 3 - Ground Test - Idle Power (AMM 71-00-00/501) to make sure the engine operates correctly.
 NOTE: If the engine operates correctly, it can stay

 (c)  If the overspeed occurred in Area C, do the steps that follow: 1) Make sure the N2 indication system operates correctly
 (AMM 77-12-00/501). 2) Remove the engine (AMM 71-00-02/401). 3) Refer to the Engine Manual to do a full inspection of the
 engine parts that turn. The inspection must include the steps that follow: a) Remove the high pressure compressor (HPC) to do a full
 overhaul inspection of the engine parts that turn. b) Examine the high pressure turbine (HPT) blades and disks for growth.
 NOTE: Growth is when the dimensions of a part
____ increase because of heat and force.
 c) Examine the HPT blades for worn knife-edge seals. d) Do a fluorescent penetrant inspection of the HPT disks and blades for damage.

 6. Engine Windmilling Inspection/Check

 A. General
 CAUTION: BEFORE YOU START THE ENGINE IN THIS PROCEDURE, EXAMINE AND
_______ CORRECT ALL ENGINE MALFUNCTIONS THAT CAUSED THE INFLIGHT SHUTDOWN. STEPS FROM THIS PROCEDURE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE IF SOME MALFUNCTIONS ARE NOT CORRECTED.
 (1)  
This procedure gives you the steps that you do after engine windmilling occurred because the engine stopped during a flight. When an engine stops during a flight, this is refered to as an inflight shutdown, IFSD.

A record of the engine operation conditions before the IFSD and during the windmilling must be kept to refer to subsequently.
