 A. Prepare the Repair Area 
R R  CAUTION : DO NOT USE A METAL SCRAPER TO REMOVE THE UNWANTED MATERIAL. A_______ METAL SCRAPER CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE OF THE COMPONENT.
R  (1) Remove the sealant from the leak point and up to a distance of 75 mm (2.9527 in.) from the leak point area with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
 NOTE : The maximum width of the fillet must not be more than 6.5 mm____ (0.2559 in.).
 (2) Chamfer the edges of the sealant that is not damaged. 
R  (3) Clean the repair area. 
R R R  WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THE_______ SPECIAL MATERIAL. THIS MATERIAL IS DANGEROUS. 
R R R R R R R R R  WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.

 

R R R (a) Clean the repair area with the CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).

 B. Do the Repair 
R R  (1) Mix the necessary quantity of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-002A) or SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016).
 (2) Apply a continuous fillet of sealant along the repair area. The maximum width of the fillet must not be more than 6.5 mm (0.2559 in.).
 NOTE : The repair must overlap the sealant adjacent to the repair____ area by a minimum of 12.5 mm (0.4921 in.).
 (3) Move the sealant into the correct position with a flat nonmetallic tool.
 (4) Let the sealant cure for half of the tack-free time. Refer to the manufacturers instructions for the cure time.
 (5) Apply a top coat of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) to the repair area.
 (6) Let the sealant repair cure.
 (7) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
