NOTE : Rub the area in the direction of the scratch. Do not use a
____ circular motion. Make sure you remove all the rough surfaces.
(e)
Clean the area with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and a clean cloth.
(f)
Apply PRETREATMENT FOR PAINTING (Material No. 13-002) to the metal surface.
(7) For damage to steel components:
(a)
Remove the paint from the area of the damage with abrasive cloth grade 280.
(b)
Remove the scratch with a rounded scotch stone and water. Move the scotch stone along the scratch until the contour is smooth and rounded.
(c)
Rub the roughened area with abrasive cloth grade 400. Rub along the length of the scratch until the surface is smooth.
