A. Prepare the Repair Area
R R CAUTION : DO NOT USE A METAL SCRAPER TO REMOVE THE UNWANTED MATERIAL. A_______ METAL SCRAPER CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE OF THE COMPONENT.
R R (1) Remove the sealant from the leak point and up to a distance of 20 mm (0.7874 in.) around the leak point area with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(2) Chamfer the edges of the sealant that is not damaged.
R (3) Clean the repair area.
R R R WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THE_______ SPECIAL MATERIAL. THIS MATERIAL IS DANGEROUS.
R R R R R R R R R WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.

R (a) Clean the repair area with the CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-R 004) and a lint free-cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003). R

B. Do the Repair
(1)
Mix the necessary quantity of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-008).
(2)
Apply a 1 mm (0.0393 in.) thick coat of sealant over the repair area with a brush. Refer to the manufacturers instructions for the cure time.
NOTE : Each new coat of sealant must overlap the sealant adjacent to
____ the repair area by a minimum of 25mm (1.0in.).
(3)
Apply a second coat of sealant and let it cure. Refer to the manufacturers instructions for the cure time.
(4)
Apply a top coat of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-007) to the repair area.
NOTE : The top coat must overlap the last layer of sealant applied by
____ at least 6mm (0.24in.). Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for the cure time.
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
