THIS MATERIAL IS DANGEROUS.
(1) Clean the repair area with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-001) and a lint-free cloth.
WARNING : USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED TOOLS FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE
_______ AIRCRAFT. DO NOT APPLY ADHESIVE TAPE ON THE PROBES, DUCTS, SENSORS (STATIC, PITOT, TAT, AOA). THE SPECIFIED TOOLS :
-GIVE THE CORRECT PROTECTION TO THE AIRCRAFT EQUIPMENT,
-ARE EASY TO SEE FROM THE GROUND. MAKE AN ENTRY IN THE AIRCRAFT LOG BOOK OR ATTACH A TAG ON THE CAPTAIN SIDE STICK TO TELL THE CREW THAT PROTECTION COVERS/DEVICES ARE INSTALLED.
(2)
If necessary, repair the corrosion damage (Ref. TASK 51-74-11-300-001).
(3)
Cover the area adjacent to the damage with the masking paper and masking tape.
NOTE : If you must repair paint damage adjacent the AOA sensor, you
____ must install COVER - ALPHA PROBE PROTECTIVE (98D53103000000).
(4)
Remove the damaged paint and primer coatings with abrasive cloth grade 280.
(5)
Feather the edges of the undamaged paint to give a smooth surface to the repair area.
(6)
Clean the repair area with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and a lint-free cloth.
(7)
Apply the primer coatings and paint coatings to the repair area.
(8)
Remove the masking paper, masking tape and protective covers as necessary.
