A. Preparation of the Replacement Component
(1)
If necessary, make the electrical cable (6) shorter and install the electrical TERMINAL-CABLE (10) with the CRIMPING DEVICE (AMP169994-1).
(2)
Put the HOUSING (11) over the cable terminal (10) and make sure that the housings engage correctly.

B. Installation of the Power Unit for the Passenger Reading Light
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Install the power unit (2) on the related PSIU (1) with the new plastic RIVET (3)
(4)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(5)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(6)
Connect the electrical connectors (5) to the reading light (7).
(7)
Connect the electrical connectors (4) to the power unit (2).
(8)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(9)
Lift the PSIU (1) and engage it in the mounting rail (8).
(10) Install the section-hose (9) with the PULLEY ASSEMBLY - SEALING CORD (98A25207503000) to the mounting rail (8).
NOTE : Make sure that the section-hose is not expanded. Move the
____ pulley assemble forward and rearward to prevent this.

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1LW, 2LW, 3LW, 4LW, 5LW, 6LW.
