GPS MONITOR Page-Access
Figure 004
PREDICTIVE GPS Page-Access
Figure 005
-4L - 4R - RAIM availability at waypoint + or - 15 mn for time intervals of 5 mn. Y is displayed if RAIM is predicted to be available with APPROACH AREA integrity; N is displayed otherwise.
-5L - 5R and 6L - 6R - Deselected satellites identification number. Up to 4 satellites may be deselected by the pilot.
NOTE : When you deselect a satellite, it is still used for GPS
____ position computation. The deselection only affects the integrity prediction at pilot entered waypoint or destination.

1 Access
_ R
-2L - LSK on the DATA INDEX A page.
2 Purpose
_
-Displays information about the three IRS and allows initialization of heading if at least one IRS is in ATT mode (if OPC option is fitted).
3 Data fields
_
-1L < IRS1
-2L < IRS2
-3L < IRS3 These LSK allow access to the associated IRS page. On each label line is displayed either the Time to NAV or the average drift of the associated IRS depending on IRS mode and flight phase.
-5R - SET HDG allows Set Heading function activation.
(f) IRSn page
(Ref. Fig. 006)
1 Access
_
-LSK on the IRS MONITOR page or on the other IRSn page through the LSK adjacent to the NEXT IRS indication.
2 Purpose
_
-Dynamically displays IRSn parameters and GPS/IRSn hybrid parameters if at least one GPS is embedded.

- 6L - < FREEZE / UNFREEZE: this LSK allows the IRSn data to
be frozen to the current value and the IRSn data real-time
refreshment to be started again
- 6R - NEXT IRS: this LSK allows access to IRSn + 1 page (or
IRS1 page from IRS3 page).
(7) Other navigation computations
(a) Ground speed and track
R The FMS computes the ground speed and the track (Mag or True):
R
- Ground speed is the magnitude of the horizontal component of
the velocity vector (true airspeed and wind velocity).
R - Track is the angle between North (Mag or True) and the
R horizontal component of the velocity vector.
Ground speed and track are displayed on the NDs and the MCDUs.
(b) Wind
Current wind (magnitude and direction) is computed by using the
aircraft geometry defined by ground speed and track (computed by
the FMS) and true airspeed and heading (provided by the ADR).
This wind value is displayed on the Navigation Display (ND).
(c) Bearing/distance to a fix
On pilot demand, the FMS computes and displays the bearing and
distance from the aircraft position to a dedicated fix.
This fix can be a waypoint, a navaid, a NDB, or an airport
reference point and is selected on the PROG page.
(Ref. Fig. 007)
The computation is updated regularly.
