 STORED NAVAID Page
 Figure 070

-1L: clearing the IDENT field deletes this navaid from the stored navaids list. If the navaid is used, deletion is not allowed and message F-PLN ELEMENT RETAINED is displayed.
-the STORED NAVAID pages are closed loop and can be slewed horizontally by the left or right arrow key.
4 When the pilot wants to define a new navaid, he may have
_ access to the NEW NAVAID page from STORED NAVAID page or from DATA INDEX B page if no stored navaid exists.
 a Data fields:
_
-1L-IDENT: enter the station identifier. This IDENT may be a duplicate identifier. The first entered character of the ident must be alphabetic, otherwise FORMAT ERROR message is displayed.
-2L-CLASS: the crew must enter the class of the navaid. An ILS/DME, MLS/DME and non-collocated navaids cannot be created.
-3L-LAT/LONG: enter the LAT/LONG of the navaid.
-4L-FREQ or CHAN: enter the frequency of the navaid or the MLS channel. This field is not displayed until the class is entered.
-5L-ELV: enter the elevation of the NAVAID. This field is not displayed until the class is entered.
-6L-FIG OF MERIT: enter the figure of merit for the navaid. If nothing is entered, two is assumed when this LS key is pressed. This field is not displayed until the class is entered. Once the FIG OF MERIT is entered, the corresponding distance is displayed as illustrated by figure. (Ref. Fig. 071)
-1R-STATION DEC or RWY IDENT: The station declination must be entered if the prompt is displayed. An entry of 0T or T0 for magnetic declination implies a true referenced station. If the new navaid is within the polar area, any entry other than 0T or T0 is rejected with NOT ALLOWED message. If the navaid is an ILS, MLS or a LOC, the pilot must enter the runway ident. This field is blank until all mandatory data for the navaid are entered (specifically, COURSE and ELV). If the RWY IDENT is not found, the NEW RUNWAY page is automatically accessed for definition of the runway.
-2R-CATEGORY: if the navaid is an ILS, the approach category may be entered here.

-3R-COURSE: if the navaid is an ILS, MLS or LOC, the course must be entered here. (Same format as NAVAID page).
-5R-RETURN: causes the display to return to the page displayed when the NEW NAVAID page was called.
-6R-STORE: this prompt is displayed when all mandatory data are entered. his line select key must be pressed to store the navaid for use by the FMGC. If there are already 20 navaids stored, one must be deleted to make room for the one being entered. The newly entered navaid becomes 20/20. If all navaids are used, it does not allow insertion and a message (LIST OF 20 IN USE) is displayed. Once a navaid has been stored, it may be used as any data base navaid either as a waypoint on the primary or SECONDARY flight plan or as a navaid for position update or display purposes.
-If the NEW NAVAID page is accessed because a navaid ident is not found in the data base, the IDENT field is filled with the entered ident.
 (d) Waypoints (Ref. Fig. 072, 073)
1_ The waypoints stored in the NAV Data Base are fixes referenced
by the terminal area procedures, airways, holding patterns, or
company routes, that are not already defined as a navaid
 airport or runway.

 a Data fields:
_ The following data may be provided for each waypoint:
 -Identifier
 -Latitude
 -Longitude
 -Terminal/En route Designator: Values
 *
 Terminal

 *
 En route

 *
 Both

2 The pilot may view these data on WAYPOINT page for either data
_ base waypoints or pilot-stored waypoints. The WAYPOINT page is accessed from DATA INDEX B page.
 a Data fields
_
-1L-IDENT: the waypoint identifier may be any data base or manually stored waypoint, navaid, or airport.

In addition it may be any of the newly defined F-PLN waypoints created by F-PLN revisions, but not stored into the stored waypoint list, such as: Lat or Long crossing points, abeam and radial intercept points...; as long as they belong to the ACTIVE, TEMPORARY or SECONDARY flight plan. If the IDENT is not recognized by the system, the NEW WAYPOINT page is accessed.
-2L-LAT/LONG: latitude and longitude of the waypoint are displayed in this field.
-3L: a waypoint may have been defined as a PLACE/BRG/DIST or PLACE-BRG/PLACE-BRG or PLACE/DIST (for the along track offset waypoint). The PB/PB when defined, is always displayed with the PLACE ident limited to 5 characters in each of both PB couples (this is due to PLACE format limitation for PB/PB entry into the scratchpad). However, the PLACE ident can be displayed with up to 7 characters when used for PBD or PD facilities. For PBD or PB/PB, a "T" character may be displayed with the BRG value, if the BRG has been defined using the true north reference. The abeam and radial intercept points are defined as a PLACE/BRG/DIST.
