If the pilot inserts an alternate Company Route and/or destination on the ALTN page, the selection is reflected on the INIT A page (if this page can still be accessed).

 (11) FIX INFO
 (a)
ABEAM points This function allows to compute, from a designated reference point, a perpendicular projection onto the ACTIVE primary flight plan. This function is accessed from the FIX INFO page by defining a reference fix, from which the abeam point (perpendicular projection) is computed. If the pilot selects the star to insert the abeam point, it is automatically inserted in the flight plan on the CF, DF or TF leg along which it was found. This new F-PLN waypoint may be used as any revised point, and therefore can be cleared or deleted (after a lateral revision), which may create a discontinuity. However, the entered waypoint is not part of the pilot-stored elements and therefore cannot be used to create another pilot-defined element. When the waypoint is inserted, the ND no longer displays the intercepting radial. If the pilot does not insert the abeam point into the flight plan, it is recomputed for display any time that a lateral revision affects the leg along which it was found.

 (b)
RADIAL INTERCEPT points This function allows to compute the intersection with the ACTIVE primary flight plan of a designated radial from a designated reference point. This function is accessed from the FIX INFO page by defining a radial from a reference fix. If a radial intercept point is found, the pilot has then the possibility to insert it into the flight plan using a large cyan selection star on the FIX INFO page. If the pilot selects the star to insert the radial intercept point, it is automatically inserted in the flight plan on the CF, DF, or TF leg along which it was found. This new F-PLN waypoint may be used as any revised point, and therefore can be cleared or deleted (after a lateral revision), which may create a discontinuity. However, the entered waypoint is not part of the pilot-stored elements and therefore cannot be used to create another pilot-defined element. When the waypoint is inserted, the ND no longer displays the selected radial. If the pilot does not insert the radial intercept point into the flight plan, it is recomputed any time that a lateral revision affects the leg along which it was found.

 1 Access
_ The FIX INFO 1 page may be accessed from the LAT REV page at origin or from PPOS. Left or right arrow key from the FIX INFO 2 page.
 2 Purpose
_ R This page provides a means for creating NAV Display references R based on a given data base fix or a pilot-defined element. The
references may be one or more radial bearings. If the radial intercepts the ACTIVE flight plan, the intersection point can be converted to a waypoint and inserted into the flight plan.
 3 Data fields
_
-Title-FIX INFO is displayed in white large font.
-1L-REF FIX: the reference fix (REF FIX) entry is performed via left LS key 1L. The REF FIX may be any data base navaid, waypoint, NDB, airport, runway or pilot-defined element. Note that for runway, the fixed position is the runway threshold point. Any attempted entry of more than seven characters causes display of the FORMAT ERROR message. Any unidentified entry of seven characters or less causes display of the NOT IN DATABASE message.
-2L-2R, 3L-3R, 4L-4R RADIAL: lines 2 through 4 display variable radials from the REF FIX. The pilot may at each line enter a radial only. If the pilot enters a radial, the radial is displayed in cyan, large font. The radial may be entered without leading zeroes. A T may be displayed to indicate the reference of the radial. If the radial line intersects the flight plan, then the FM computes the time, the along path DTG and the ALT to the intersection point. Otherwise these items of information are dashed. If the entered radial intersects the flight plan, a cyan, large font selection star (*) may be displayed in column 1 adjacent to the corresponding data. Otherwise, column 1 is blank. Selecting this star creates a waypoint and inserts the waypoint in the ACTIVE flight plan at the intersection. The format of the created waypoint is XXXNNN. The pilot may have up to 3 radial references displayed on the FIX INFO page at a time.

-5L-5R-ABEAM: This line is used to select and insert an abeam reference if the entered REF FIX is abeam of the ACTIVE flight plan. Upon entry of a REF FIX which is abeam the ACTIVE flight plan, and after selection of the ABEAM prompt, the abeam radial and predictions are computed automatically. A cyan, large font selection star may be displayed in column 1 adjacent to the abeam reference. Selecting the star creates a waypoint and inserts the abeam point into the flight plan. The ident of the created waypoint is: ABDDDDD where DDDDD are the 5 first characters of the REF FIX ident.
