When the indentifier has been entered for the Intercept
combination, radial prompts are displayed. The radial may be
entered into the scratchpad and line selected into either 1R
 or 2R.
Valid radial data may be entered into 1R at any time before
activation and results in the new data displayed, followed
by an asterisk and a new Intercept-To leg generated based on
the new radial entry. Any radial values displayed in 2R are
 replaced by brackets.

Likewise, valid radial data may be entered into 2R at any time before activation and results in the new radial data displayed, followed by a cyan asterisk and a new Intercept-From leg generated based on the new radial out entry. Any radial values displayed in 1R are replaced by brackets. If the DIRECT TO/INTERCEPT waypoint entry is to a waypoint already in the flight plan, the Intercept Radial IN field displays a default radial using the radial in (i.e incourse
+ 180.) if any, into the selected waypoint. However, no radial is displayed on the ND for this default radial. If the DIRECT TO/INTERCEPT waypoint entry is not to an existing flight plan waypoint or a radial in value is unavailable for the waypoint and an intercept radial in has not been entered, large cyan brackets remain displayed for the radial value. No default radial value is provided as the RADIAL OUT field must be explicitly entered. Line selection of 1R with the scratchpad empty results in activation of the intercept radial INTO the specified waypoint. The course value of the new created CF leg is the radial that is displayed in field 1R at the time of field selection + 180.. At this point, the display reverts to the F-PLN A page. Line selection of 2R with the scratchpad empty results in activation of the intercept radial FROM the specified waypoint. The radial value is the radial that is displayed in field 2R at the time of field selection. At this point, the display reverts to the F-PLN A page. Deletion of 1R or 2R is not allowed. Any deletion attempts on these fields result in display of the NOT ALLOWED scratchpad message.
-2L: Abeam points prompt Once the DIR TO entry has been completed (as denoted by the asterisk), the Abeam points option becomes available and prompt displayed. Selection of the ABEAM PTS prompt, regardless of the contents of the scratchpad, results in activation of the Abeam Points function.
-3L-5L: flight plan The ACTIVE primary flight plan is displayed as on the F-PLN page. Slewing is performed one waypoint at a time in either direction. Any alternate flight plan elements or markers are skipped (i.e., not displayed). After the Direct To/Intercept is activated, the F-PLN A page is displayed.

-The DIR TO, ABEAM PTS, RADIAL IN and RADIAL OUT labels are always displayed in lines 1 and 2, even after any vertical slewing. An intercept may be activated at any time that a radial value exists; likewise, a Direct To, with or without abeam points, may be activated at any time, even if intercept radial values have been entered.

 D. Vertical Revisions
 (1)
General The vertical revise function allows the flight crew to define or modify the following vertical flight plan elements:

 -altitude constraint
 -
speed constraint

 -
speed limit

 -Constant Mach Segment (CMS)
 -time constraint
 -step (climb or descent)
-wind All elements can be defined or changed through the VERT REV page. (Ref. Fig. 056) Same mechanization, as described in the following paragraphs, applies for both primary and secondary flight plans. Acess to the VERT REV page is achieved from the F-PLN page when a right line select key is pressed with the scratchpad empty at any fixed waypoint,at T/C, T/D or speed limit pseudo waypoints. Access is allowed from the FROM waypoint. After access, if a lateral leg sequence occurs such that the revised point becomes the FROM waypoint, then the revision is aborted and the display reverts to F-PLN page. Access to the VERT REV page is also achieved from the STEP ALTS or CRUISE WIND page when RETURN prompt is selected. Following the flight phase where the revised point is predicted to be, the VERT REV page does not display all fields.

 (2)
Constraints, speed limits and Constant Mach Segment (CMS) (Ref. Fig. 057) The time, speed and altitude parameters on the F-PLN A page are predicted by the FM: however, the pilot can enter a constraint (time, speed and/or altitude). Predicted TIME, SPD, and ALT values are displayed in small font in the same color as the associated waypoint when predictions are available. When predictions are not available and each time predictions are recomputed, if a constraint has been specified at a downpath waypoint, the constraint is displayed in large, magenta font in the appropriate columns (right justified). If an ALT CSTR is an AT or ABOVE, a large, magenta font "+" is displayed in the column prior to the ALT CSTR. If an ALT CSTR is an AT or BELOW, a large, magenta "-" is displayed in the column prior to the ALT CSTR.
