- Standard ILS approach within tolerances (SOP, ILS approach)
- Standard Non precision approach
· Ability to apply correct landing technique.

1 : Instructor should encourage the crew to save time during transit cockpit preparation.
3 : When flaps at 1 + F do not retract further, observe flaps auto retraction at 210 kt.
5 : Accelerate to 300 kt, then demonstrate :
Roll :
- Stability up to 33° of bank.
- Need of back stick pressure with bank angle above 33°.
- Max bank angle : 67° (load factor).
Pitch attitude : 30° (25°) up, 15° down, in clean configuration.
High speed : VMO only
- VMO + 6 : warning pitch up load factor.
- In dynamic : VMO + 16 or 30 kt.
- Bank angle limitation : 45°.
- Positive spiral stability.
High angle of attack :
- Alpha prot.
- Alpha floor.
- Alpha Max.
- Bank angle limitation 45°.
CFIT : one emergency pull up.
Trainee 1 then Trainee 2 performs the normal law demonstration.
Trainee 1 resumes control at the end of the demonstration.
11, 26 : Demonstrate the need for increased back pressure on the side stick to achieve the
required pitch attitude (flare law).
Perform go around at low altitude (30 ft) - Rejected landing (JAR requirement).
13, 28 : Extend downwind, set conf 2 and demonstrate low energy warning (Speed - Speed -
Speed), by turning to base leg with nose up (manual thrust).
When final turn complete, ATC orders a runway change.
"Cleared to land on RWY 15 L (or 33 R)". Aircraft must be stabilized at 500 ft AGL.
17, 32 : VOR or NDB approach, managed or selected at trainee discretion.
20 : At ACC ALT, retract F1 then adjust pitch + 20°.
When speed is less than 148 kt retract flap to 0.
Observe Alpha Lock on ECAM Flap indicator.
Resume normal pitch and observe flap retraction when protection is removed.
