- Approach modes armed (not applicable to ECAM trainer)
- ALT target 2000 ft (ECAM trainer),
- Speed managed (FBS)
- ILS p/b selected to ON,
- Flaps retracted.
16 : Commence descent - position freeze (FBS)
Select IDLE power (FBS)
Maintain ALT - select IDLE power (ECAM trainer)
Extend half speed brakes in order to observe the memo green/amber change, if power
is above idle (vary the thrust levers accordingly).
Retract speed brakes after demo.

17 : Position release (FBS)
ECAM trainer : pre-select 1200 ft and activate by clicking phase 6 on ECAM trainer
synoptic.
Select appropriate speed (145 kt) and activate (ECAM trainer).
Extend flaps 1 and flaps 2 in sequence
Extend landing gear and observe :
- WHEEL page appears on SD,
- LDG MEMO appears on EWD (RA conditions made).
Select AUTO BRAKE LOW :
- Observe feed back on EWD memo and system display.
18 : Observe LDG INHIBIT memo below 800 ft (FBS)
ECAM trainer : activate phase 7 on ECAM trainer synoptic and observe the LDG
INHIBIT memo.
19 : DOOR/OXY page is displayed after engine shut down (FBS)
ECAM trainer : activate phase 8 and 9 subsequently on ECAM trainer synoptic, shut
down the engines and observe DOOR/OXY page.
