7 : Alternate / Direct law. Demonstrate for Trainee 1 and Trainee 2 :
- Stability in pitch : accelerate to 300 kts, observe autotrim.
- Loss of stability in roll with higher roll rate : turn with 45° of bank.
- Reduce speed and establish the aircraft in landing configuration : show that at
landing gear extension the alternate law switches to direct law : use of manual trim.
Transfer controls to Trainee 2. Repeat starting from direct law in landing configuration.
Then accelerate and clean up the aircraft.
Demonstrate alternate law.
Do not spend too much time for this demonstration. Both alternate / direct laws will be
studied in a FFS session.
- Restore ADR 1 + 2 fault. Trainee 1 as PF.
9, 14 : For Trainee 1 :
Insert B reservoir OVHT. When the status page has been cleared, insert a G reservoir
LO LVL.
When the malfunction becomes active (B RSVR OVHT) insert B electrical pump fault
in addition and keep both malfunctions as well active till next landing in order to avoid a
system restore.
For Trainee 2 :
Insert Y reservoir LO LVL : when the status page has been cleared, insert a G reservoir
LO LVL.
17 : Smoke associated with fuel vapors is coming from cabin to the cockpit : this will lead to
select two packs off and conduct to initiate a high speed descent.
20 : The trainee will insert a short F-PLN : direct to GAI.
Emphasize :
- Use of RMP1 for APPR NAVAID.
- Fuel gravity feeding.
- Use of QRH for equipment list.
Freeze the simulator for ECAM actions. Release for approach activation.
