- Runway heading +/-10°
- Bank angle < 10°
- FD bars accurately followed.
· Ability to fly single engine approaches.
· Understand and perform NO SLATS/NO FLAPS approach and landing.

3, 19 : Remove the failure before relight procedure.
4 : Take-off RWY 15 R.
For items 2 and 3 insert engine flame out at V2 without damage in order to obtain
engine relight procedure.
- Change wind 240°/10 kt after take-off in order to save time for the following
exercises.
- Initial climb permission to 3000 ft ALT (MSA) after engine out acceleration.
- A/C in clouds (base 1500 ft - top 10 000 ft).
- Maintain RWY heading until clean up.
- After clean up and starting doing engine relight procedure, order heading 110°
towards the peak of the mountain and speed up the SIM until 28 NM DME TOU.
Release for normal speed and insert the ELECTRONIC MOUNTAIN (GPWS p/b on
IOS or PCP, if applicable). At less than 2000 ft RA the terrain warning occurs with
"whoop whoop - pull up" warning just shortly after.
- After GPWS pull up recovery order right turn direct to TOE for ILS appr RWY 33 L.
- Continue with item 5 and next approach should be done on RWY 15 R.
Observe crew reactions :
- Immediate reaction: GPWS recovery.
- Crew co-ordination : who decides of the manoeuvre ?
- Or no reaction.
If exercise is assessed unsatisfactory, do not repeat it in the same ses-sion. Introduce
the same exercise in F4 or F5.
6, 22 : Select CAT II weather prior to approach and insert engine failure at minimum’s.
8, 24 : Restore normal weather parameters : 400 ft/ 6 km.
Init T/O : (Trainee 2 and Trainee 1 parts : before "Engine fail at V1" items).
Adjust wind 060°/25 kt (no wind gradient) till landing.
14, 30 : Use INIT T/O before the exercise. Following with a visual pattern with clean up after
take-off. During flap and slat retraction insert subsequently flap stuck by WTB and slat
stuck by WTB. Ensure the surfaces stuck close to or at retracted position.
16, 32 : ILS assisted.
Init T/O : (Trainee 1 part : before "Engine fail at V2" item)
Insert 54 t ZFW and 12 t of fuel (66 t GW) prior to commencing exercise.
