CHAPTER 27 – FLIGHT CONTROLS
Speedbrake Autostow System
A. General
This procedure has the following tasks for sustaining the Speedbrake Autostow System for 757-200 airplanes with winglets:
(1)
DDG maintenance procedures.
(2)
System functional tests.
(3)
Component replacement checks.
For scheduled periodic maintenance of the Speedbrake Autostow System, see supplement AP57.2-0604 to MPD D622N001.
For component removal, rigging, and functional testing of the basic speedbrake system, see AMM 27-62-01-401.
For the Speedbrake Autostow System, the speedbrake control system has an additional cam and roller mechanism installed below the flight control stand in the flight deck. The mechanism has an electrically powered actuator that moves a cam in the mechanism. The actuator is controlled by a “SPEEDBRAKE AUTOSTOW CONTROLLER” (SAC), installed in the electronics bay.
The SAC receives inputs from the following systems:
.
FMC Data Bus
.
ADIRU Data Bus
.
Flap Position Switches
.
Air/Ground Logic
