D. Procedure
(1)
Install Light Assembly
(a)
The interfacing surfaces between the strobe light base and the winglet base plate is a designated electrical bond. Prior to installing the strobe light assembly, ensure that the base plate on the winglet tip fairing is clean.
(b)
Remove any existing sealant and clean surface per SRM 51-20-05.
(c)
Connect wire terminals to strobe light assembly. See Figure 203 wiring diagram.
(d)
Install (1) 6-32 screw and lock washer to wire support.
(e)
Install (4) 4-40 screws to terminal 1, 2, 3 and 4.
(f)
Install (1) 10-32 nut to ground stud.
(g)
Reinstall wire support.
(h)
Install strobe light assembly to winglet by installing (2) 10-32 mounting screws. Torque fasteners to 20 – 25 in-lbs.
WARNING: PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF STROBE LIGHT, ENSURE THAT ALL WIRING DOES NOT CONTACT STRUCTURE. UNSUPPORTED ELECTRICAL WIRE CONTACTING STRUCTURE MAY CAUSE CHAFING AND SYSTEM FAILURE.
(i)
Using an electrical bonding ohm meter, verify that the resistance between strobe light and winglet fairing, or base plate, measures no more than .0005 ohms.

(j)
Apply fillet seal around strobe light base plate periphery using BMS 5-95 or BMS 5-142 per BAC5000. Touch-up remaining surfaces as required primer and enamel topcoat.

Lamp Test, supplement AMM TASK 33-44-00-715-002
(3)
Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

1. General
A. This procedure contains two tasks:

Install the Wing Anti-Collision Lights Power Supplies
B. In this procedure, the term power supplies refers to the wing anti-collision lights power supplies.
