Disconnect the autostow rod from the autostow assy by removing the attach bolt, washer and nut. See Figure 406.

Remove complete mechanism from the control stand by removing 6 bolts and washers that attach the support fitting to the floor beam structure. See Figure 402, 404, 407.

Remove spring per CMM supplement AP57.2-0613.

Install complete autostow mechanism in the control stand and secure with the 6 bolts and washers that attach the support fitting to the floor beam structure. See Figure 402, 404, 407.

Reconnect the autostow rod to the autostow assy by reinstalling the attach bolt, washer and nut. See Figure 406.

Run Autostow System Ground Check per Supplement AMM 27-62-00-000-503.

3. Speedbrake Autostow Controller (SAC) Removal and Installation
A. General
(1) To test Speedbrake Autostow Controller, run ground test per Supplement AMM TASK 27-62-01-000-503.
B. SAC Removal
(1)
Open the following circuit breakers and attach a “Do Not Close” tag.
(2)
Locate SAC in the electronics bay. See Figure 408, 409, 410.
(3)
Disconnect the electrical connector.
(4)
Remove SAC attach hardware.
(5)
Disconnect the bonding jumper from SAC by removing bolt, washers, and nut.
(6)
Remove SAC.

C. SAC Replacement
(1)
Attach bonding strap to SAC with bolt, washers and nut.
(2)
Install SAC with bolt and washer, 4 places.
