Flight Controls Speedbrake Autostow System Removal/Installation
TASK 27-62-01-000-401
1. Autostow Actuator Removal and Installation
A. General
(1) To test actuator operation, run Automatic System Ground Check per 27-62-00-000-
503.
B. Actuator Removal
(1)
Remove power from the left, right and center hydraulic systems per AMM (Ref 29-11-00).
(2)
Open the following circuit and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

Remove FWD Bay Cable cover plates from below the control stand as shown in Figure
401.
(4)
Disconnect the electrical connector. See Figure 405.
(5)
Remove the attach hardware from the upper and lower ends of the actuator as shown in Figure 406.
(6)
Disconnect the bonding jumper from the actuator. See Figure 405.
(7)
Remove the actuator. See Figure 406.

C. Actuator Installation
(1)
Move speed brake lever to the “Armed” detent.
(2)
Install rig pin in the speed brake quadrant below the floor. See Figure 403.
(3)
Retract actuator by applying 28 Volts DC to pin 3 and ground to pin 1.
(4)
Fasten lower end of actuator to Bracket. See Figure 406.
(5)
Adjust actuator rod end and reattach to cam. See Figure 406.
(6)
Install bonding jumper. See Figure 405. Measure electrical resistance between actuator and jumper. This value must not exceed .0025 ohms.
(7)
Install electrical connector. See Figure 405.
(8)
Remove rig pin. See Figure 403.
(9)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag from C/B No. K22 on the P6 panel.
(10). Put the Speed Brake Systems A and B back to the condition before the hydraulic pressure removal per AMM TASK 27-62-00-840-802, page 201.

Run Autostow System Ground Check. See Supplement AMM 27-61-01-000-503.

Reattach forward bay cable cover plate. See Figure 401.
