1. General
A. This procedure contains two tasks.
(1)
The first task gives instructions to remove the right or left adapter plug.

(2)
The second task gives instructions to install the right or left adapter plug.

2. Remove the adapter plug

C. Procedure
(1)
Remove access panels. See Figure 401.

(a)
Remove access panel and associated hardware from the inspar area of the adapter plug.

(b)
Remove lower access panel and associated hardware from the inspar area of the wing just inboard of WBL 740.00.

(2)
Disconnect the two winglet wiring harness electrical connectors in the leading edge area. Access from under wing through access panel opening. See Figure 402.

(3)
Remove the 23 rivets holding the leading edge panel to the edge of the adapter plug at WBL 740.00. See Figure 403.

(4)
Support the adapter plug and remove the 14 tension bolts in the mid spar area holding the adapter plug to the wing structure at WBL 740.00. Label the tension bolts and washers as they are removed for replacement to the same locations. See Figure 404.

(5)
Pull the adapter plug away from the wing just far enough to disconnect one end of the ground strap located in the TE area at WBL 740.00.

(6)
Remove the adapter plug.
